The great summer meltdown

With temperatures soaring so much it was hard to move, let alone think, Harrogate’s annual Theakston Old Peculier Crime Festivaloffered a wonderful oasis of entertainment for all crime fiction fans.

This year’s stellar line-up of diverse and diverting authors included Ruth Rendell, Val McDermid, Lee Childs, Peter James and, of course, our very own Cathi Unsworth, promoting the paperback of her novel, Weirdo, who braved the early Sunday morning slot to Slaughter the Sacred Cows, alongside Stuart MacBride, Catriona McPherson, Manda Scott and Mark Lawson.

If you weren’t able to make it, catch some of the festival atmosphere by checking out the official photographer, Fenris Oswin’s fabulous photos at fenris.co.uk
