Dr Angharad Rudkin is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She has worked with children, adolescents, and families for 20 years.
Angharad has an independent therapy practice and teaches Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Southampton. She regularly contributes to articles on child and family wellbeing for national newspaper and magazines, and is a relationship expert for Metro newspaper. Angharad appears on TV and radio regularly as an expert on child and family issues.
Angharad has co-written, as the Consulting Psychologist, two parenting books WHAT’S MY CHILD THINKING? (DK; 2019) and WHAT’S MY TEENAGER THINKING? (DK;May 2020) and was Consultant Editor for a book for parents and professionals about divorce 101 QUESTIONS ABOUT SEPARATION AND DIVORCE WITH CHILDREN (Bath Publishing; 2019). Angharad has also been the consulting psychologist for three Usborne books for children – THE UN-WORRY BOOK (2019), THE UN-HURRY BOOK (2020) and LOOKING AFTER YOUR HEALTH (2020), and reviewed a book on digital safety for children and parents “Parent Alert” How to keep your kids safe online” (DK; 2018). Angharad published a book about friendships in girls, FIND YOUR GIRL SQUAD (Wren and Rook) co-written with Ruth Fitzgerald, in January 2020. Her latest book, also written with Ruth Fitzgerald, is THE SPLIT SURVIVAL KIT (a guide for children coping with divorce) also to be published by Wren and Rook.
He has also just signed a contract with Hachette North for 2 picture books – the first will feature a very hungry dragon called Bernardo.
